MB-4-320 - Mounting Brackets for Outward Opening Gates on a Wider Post
Making the installation of worm drive swing gate motors easier and looking good.
Suitable for:
Outward Opening Gates on posts larger than 100mm square with the gate set in the middle of the post to be using worm drive swing gate motors with a 320mm stroke length assuming the full stroke length is being used, if hard stops are being used then the X and Y dimensions are reduced by 19mm for each stop as the hard stop reduces the stroke length. If the gate is light weight the X and Y dimensions can also be reduced to increase speed sacrificing some torque.
What's in the Box
Gate Mounting Bracket (GMB) that can be bolted to aluminium or timber gates or self drilling screws can be used for steel framed gates.
Post Mounting Bracket (PMB) that can be fitted to a brick post with four mounting holes lining up with the concrete core, these holes may be drilled out to 20mm diameter for fixings larger enough to reach the core. For concrete pillars all six holes may be used with smaller fixings. With metal or timber posts four only four holes are needed with te PMB bolted through the post. The gate will open up to 90o although the motor protrudes into the gate opening by 200mm. If the hinge is more than 27mm off the post the motor can be fitted to the hole in the PMB further from the post although will protrude into the opening by 220mm or so.
Both brackets are made from zinc plated steel.
