Necessary if you'd like to give a 'door like' quality to your pedestrian gate. Does require a 'lock box' added to the pedestrian gate. Key Locks from both sides. Works with both left and right hand opening gates.  Can be used with an electric strike latch set into a metal gate post with the back of the gate frame flush with the back of a post.
