Installation Instructions

Japanese Quality Audio only Intercom with a surface mount silver outdoor station with 2 buttons for calling one of two residences where there is a handset so an occupant may lift it and talk to the visitor like they're on a phone.

Two Gate/Door Buttons 

A lock button on each handset may be used to directly release an electric lock on a pedestrian gate or front door through the same two wires that connect the handset and outdoor station. A second button on each handset can directly open an automatic driveway gate or garage door, although this requires and extra two wires between the handset and the gate/door.

Chime Volume Adjustment

The chime volume can be adjusted on each handset separately for the space its in or muted in case no-one wants to be disturbed.

Power Requirements 

The handset requires 15-16VAC power, which comes from a transformer either next to the handset or away from the handset with a low voltage power cable run to it. The outdoor station requires no power connected as its power is passed through the 2 wires between the Handset and the Outdoor Station along with everything else.

Two Gate Buttons 

There is a second button on each handset for opening a common automatic driveway gate or individual garage door opener directly.  Wiring to this button is by way of the handset so if you want to to open an automatic driveway gate or garage door independently from the pedestrian gate you will need an extra pair of wires between the house and the automatic gate or garage door making 4 wires total per residence.

The Lock Output

Includes

1 x DA-2DS two call button Outdoor Station + 2 x DA-1MD Handsets. Any transformers, extension chimes or electric locks are chosen separately.

Wire Size verses Distance 

Wire Distance is the length of the wire measured between the transformer and the electric Lock. The wire distance between the transformer and DA-1MD Handset must be at least half this distance.

0.6mm dia. to 110m - 0.8mm dia. to 200m - 1.0mm dia. to 310m 

Note: If installing cable in the ground it must be in conduit and be a cable that is rated for use in the ground.  Multi-stranded security cable or figure 8 cable is NOT suitable in the ground it must have a polythene sheath and if the diameter of the cable is less than 0.8mm it must be filled with gel to stop it corroding.
